| 2005 Youth Day Triathlon |
| The 2nd Annual Youth Day Triathlon on July 17th, 2005 Took Place at Humboldt Hills Motorcycle Club, located between Greenfield and Bainbridge, Ohio on State Route 41. Although the rain fell hard throughout the day, the young racers rode even harder. Some of the best riders from all over Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and Kentucky came out to dice it up in the mud. Many of the racers were spending almost as much time on the ground as on their machines, but they all kept giving their best and in the end left all in attendance feeling very proud of them. If you could have seen through the mud on their faces, you would have seen a smile from ear to ear. All the Humboldt Hills MC Members agree the Youth Day Triathlon is one of those races you just don't want to miss. Throughout the day all the riders compete in three separate events. First is a Rodeo. This is a half-mile obstacle course around barrels and weaving through cones to see who can complete the course the fastest. Next was a Motocross race. This is a race on a short track of natural and manmade terrain where all riders are released at once to battle it out side by side to get to the finish line first. Finally a harescramble. This is a race through the woods to complete as many laps as possible in a set amount of time. The three-race format brings together all the different offroad riding styles and lets them get the feel for other types of racing. At the conclusion, everyone agreed, the event was a great success. Riders and spectators alike guarantee to be back in 2006 and will be bringing many friends. This was one of those days that will be remembered, just as much for its competition, as it will be for the ground conditions. Humboldt Hills would like to thank all those in attendance for their continued support and look we forward to seeing everyone again. Full Results are posted Picture are up Here |
